If so, this there seems to be a website that is an "historical resources page for the Upper New River Valley of North Carolina and Virginia. (Ashe, Alleghany, Watagua and Wilkes County, North Carolina and Grayson County, Virginia; other parts of Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee"
