I have pretty good documentation (and hear-say evidence) that Gabriel Phillips bc 1733 - d 1809 was a Quaker.
Many of us Phillips researchers are trying to document Gabriel's ancestry (Welsh?) before he first turns up in Bucks County, PA, marrying Hannah Brower in 1758.
ANY Quakers named Phillips might be a clue to finding Gabriel's father, etc.
Gabriel is documented in Loudon, Co VA from about 1763 to 1785 and thence to Union Co, SC until death in 1809.
