Hi,
I was reading your posts about the Quakers. I had no knowledge of the Quakers until I started researching my family ancestry. The question I have is my ggggrandparents were born Quakers ( I think) and both families were living in Miami Co Ohio. I have found a lot written about my ancestry lines in the writings of Luke Smith Mote and various other articles. My amcestry lines are Wallace Jones and Rachael Patty parents of my ggggrandfather Jesse Jones b 1799 in Newberry SC. Rachels parents James Patty & Margaret Mote were Quakers, but Wallace Jones didnt become a Quaker until he married his second wife Ruth Pearson. My ggggrandmother who married Jesse Jones was Susannah Embree b 1805 Washington Tn her parents were Jacob Embree & Mary Ballinger both Quakers. Jacob was the son of Moses Embree. My question is I cant find records of Susannah Embree or Jesse Jones ever being Quaker I dont understand how that can be if all of the parents were of the Quaker faith, shouldnt there be at least birth records of them in the Quaker minutes?

Thanks for any help

Tammy
