Quaker Fords in Dauphin Co. Pennsylvania

I am looking for the ancestors of William Henry Ford who went by Henry while a soldier in Civil War he died in the Battle of Gettysburg. His son William Henry Ford was also a musician during the Civil War because he was only 16 years of age or so. When the war was over he went back to his family who were Quakers I was told they lived in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania possibly Harrisburg. They disowned and shunned him because he had been in the Civil War. It went against their peace loving society.
He went west to Indiana then to Colorado then to California.
The last name maybe Fordt, Fordte, Fort, Forte. I was told that when they joined up someone misread or misheard the last name and spelled it Ford. But that could just be made up memories of my grandmother.

Thanks
