I actually don't think this is the Hannah you seek....this one was either unmarried, or a widow, for she appears in the Ohio meeting records, singly....never with a husband or children. I'm sure you know that a Quaker HAD TO marry only other Quakers, and as no husband was mentioned, we can go on the theory that she had none. Here are the only entries for the name, in Ohio meetings; 1811 Hannah....rocf New Hope MM (she came to this MM from the New Hope meeting 1825 Hannah (last name spelled Clairwater) get Dover MM this means she was granted a certificate to then join the Dover meeting) 1837 Hannah get Westfield mm, Indiana (in '37 she was granted a certificate to move to the Westfield mm, in Indiana) So, this doesn't really sound like the Hannah you seek, does it? The Quaker Encyc. has no entries for Indiana meetings, so you'll have to look for the Westfield meeting records yourself, if you still think this might be 'your' Hannah. There are many midwest Quaker records at Earlham College, in Richmond Indiana....you might start there. Notify Administrator about this message?
