You can't equate non-slave owners with Quakers or slave owners being non-Quakers. Some of my own family who lived in Chester Co, PA and are well documented as Quakers, were also slave owners. The move to abolish slave-owning among Quakers didn't really start up till past the Am. Rev. War.
I can't find a Newberry meeting in Union Co, SC....the Newberry meeting was in Blount Co,Tenn....and, the only meeting I can find that would have served Rowan Co was the Deep Creek meeting in Yadkinville, NC....if these are the meetings you're thinking of, neither of these fellows appear in the MM records in Hindshaw.
As you probably know, many of the preparatory meetings the Quakers attended on a weekly basis were held, not necessarily in a meeting house, but in the homes of a member...this was very commonly done by the Friends, and I've never heard of them jointly using a church building with other denominations, so I don't really think this would have been very likely. Bucks Co had several meetings....have you checked the records for wherever it was they lived in Bucks Co? The Quakers were such prodigious record keepers I find it unlikely that they weren't recorded somewhere in a lifetime.
I will also go out on a limb and say that Hannah Brower was definately of Germanic background, and the Germans were rarely Friends...generally Lutherans or German Reform. I did find Phillips in the Tohickon Union (Lutheran) Church, in Bucks Co.
