I did it on a supplemental application by providing a copy of a will that cleared up the discrepancy. I understand that there is a correction of records form that you can submit along with the proof that you are trying to get corrected. I have a friend who also did this and, unfortunately got a guy disallowed because she proved that he never had any children.
