Daniel Dillon is an approved Patriot with the DAR due to his providing grain to the American Soldiers. He had a mill in North Carolina which is still a working mill and is on the Registered National Landmarks. The reason I know that their records are incorrect is that some individual many years ago submitted an application naming his wife as Lydia Hodgson. Lydia Hodgson was his granddaughter. I have a cousin who has told me that he found that Lydia's name was really Lydia Brewer Wright. I have been trying to find proof of that ever since. He is a very elderly gentleman and couldn't remember where he found that information.
You can get the records corrected if you provide proof. I know because I recently did that with another individual. The DAR is very active in trying to correct all of their records right now because they know that in the early days of the DAR they weren't as stringent with proof as they are today.
Thanks again for trying,
Dale
