Thanks for the info on the look-up option for Chester Co. I will definitely check that out. As for the American Genealogist, yes, I did look into that as well. (Thanks again for the tip.) Right now I just can't bring myself to pay the $16.00 for the (1997) anniversary issue where Mr. Baldwin's article can be found.
I may change my mind, depending on how other avenues turn out. It does appear that Mr. Baldwin also published an account of the Bowater family in a 2000 issue, so I will re-visit this option.
