I am looking for information on my step-fathers family. His dad was Ernest Alonzo Quaitance born around March 13, 1892. I have a copy of his recruit papers from Feb 1918 where he joined the Canadian Army during World War I showing his address as Bloomer, WI. I was told by one of the sisters that he was adopted by a family with the last name of 'Otto' but used Quaintance when he joined the army. His army papers show a next of kin as Roy Quaintance, Lanceton, WI as brother. I was also told there was a sister with the last name of Quaintance that was adopted by another family, not sure of her first name.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
