Notes:
The earliest date for this family is the baptism of Thomas III at Mickleover in 1675, followed by the baptisms of his siblings and the deaths of his grandparents in 1680 and 1682. It is unknown from whence the family came before this date; there are some Pywells at Nottingham in the 1640s, and several families in Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire throughout the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.

The date of birth of Alfred Jabez Pywell is not known but I suspect it may either be a missing or misfiled registration, OR he was born out of wedlock and registered under the name Horn. I have not rechecked the Victorian BDM index for this.
