Peter and Ian,
I have some further information about some of the Pywells you listed.
Alfred Jabez,
Born 23 Jan 1871, Portarlington
Died 28 May 1930 at Portarlington

Jabez,
Born 28 Sept 1847, Spondon
Married Elizabeth Horn 4 May 1868 at Geelong

Nathaniel was born in April 1810,

Richard was born 1 Jan 1781 and I have him marrying Sarah Stenson in Spondon rather than Mickleover. The towns are not far apart.

My father's name was Richard Jabez Pywell.

Look forward to further sharing of info.
