I am wondering if the name PYNES is related to this family. My great grand father, John Pynes, was born in either MA or Connecticut around 1850. His father Allen Pynes or Pines was probably born between 1820 and 1830. I think he was the first to come to this country from Ireland, but I don't know where in Ireland except for the story was told that they were from the "North" and were Protestants.
