Sean, I had been corresponding with a Mrs. Betty (Pyne) O'Leary of Co. Cork concerning Pyne genealogy. I originally got in contact with her because of her Cork address. It turned out her family was not originally from Co. Cork, so are correspondence died off...but I think she might be of some help to you. Her grandfather, Michael Pyne, was from Ballyporeen, Co. Tipperary and he had a brother named Thomas who emmigrated to America. This would all be around the time period you are talking about.
