Hi, It has been many years since I last saw Mrs. Pym but I will try to remember what I can.

I do remember her coming home one chilly, rainy day, with this tiny piglet that she found in the field along side the drive. It was not very old and was cold and wet and looked like it might be a wild pig. She asked me to try and save it, but unfortunately it had been exposed to the elements too long. She loved animals of all kinds, not just her beloved dogs. She was also there for her friends when they were in need. Just after I left her employment she brought an English lady with all of her dogs, there to stay because the woman had no home.

She loved steak cooked very, very rare and had that almost daily for her supper. She drank her tea very strong and loved a champagne cocktail every evening. Moet Chandon <sp> was her favorite.

My son was six months old at the time and I was taken to the hospital one day in an emergency. She took care of my son and used a dinner napkin for a diaper and put in on him like the old fashioned three cornered ones.

She loved to entertain and had many important people visit her. At the time I worked for her she also had a home in Miami, one in Virginia and has just bought an apartment building in D.C. I believe it was on Georgia Ave but I could be wrong as I was never there. My late husband drove her there many times though. When she and Mrs Nelms were both going to be absent from home she would give me a hand gun and said don't let anyone kidnap the dogs.

She was a great lady and she loved life and lived it to the fullest. I hope I have been able to add to your picture of her.

Priscilla Bass
