I have the following info on Buxton Pyland: born 7 Apr 1823 in Chatham Co, NC; died 30 Nov 1875 in IL. In Humphrey Co, TN in 1850; Bedford Co, TN in 1860; Pope Co, IL in 1870. Married Mary Ann Chieves before 1845 in TN; married Hannah B. Rentfro 29 Mar 1874 in Johnson Co, IL. Buxton's 2 oldest children lived and died in IL. Four youngest migrated to Randolph Co, AR. Could you be confusing Buxton with his son Britton Alonzo Pyland who moved to Randolph Co, AR sometime between 1870 when he was listed in the Bolivar, Hardeman Co, TN census and 30 Jan 1876 when he married Novella Frances Leathers in Randolph Co, AR?
