I would like to know what info you have on George Pyland who died in Sumter Co SC. In particular, I am looking at his son in law Richard Glover, and hoping to tie this Richard Glover to Jesse Glover of Isle of Wight VA. Jesse Glover had married the widow Mary Pyland/Piland, and was guardian to her children. The surviving stepchildren were James and Elizabeth Piland. Jesse Glover was known to have a son named Richard Glover born prior to 1783.

I guess I'm wondering if George Pyland can be proven to be from the Isle of Wight VA area.
