This family is mentioned in "Pioneers and Makers of Arkansas". Can't name the author right now. Said to have come to Crystal Hill abt 1807 a Major John Pyeatt(Rev War) and brother Jacob from either NC or Georgia. Writer says they lived in isolation for some years and were not aware of the war of 1812. Also mentioned, Major Pyeatt died in 1826 and his wife Betsy and son Peter were administrators appointed by Pulaski court so will might be available. Peter married Mary Miller in Dec 1822. Jacob moved to Cadron in 1815. His wife Margaret died at Cadron 1822.
Also spelled Piatt. I am researching Martha Patsy Pyeatt, who was married to my gg grandfather, John King, in Arkansas Territoy probably Sevier Co abt 1820, I think they had one child, Elizabeth born 1819. Martha must have died young as he was married to Mary Wood in 1830s.
