The Anderson family in Miss. is reported to be related to Chief Pushmataha. You may want to visit Mona Herrin's site at http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&id=17745&db+eyes. Reportedly, One of the Andersons was wounded at the Battle of New Orleans. He left with Pushmataha and stayed with the Indians while healing. He md. Running Deer, d/o Pushmataha, in an Indian ceremony, then again later by a traveling preacher (or Priest?) in a christian ceremony. My family descends from Running Deer. This is based on oral tradition.
