thanks for the reply.
my grandmother, Harriet (LaRose) Purvis was born in Canada. She met my grandfather Fred while both were in the U.S. Army. After my grandfather retired from the army they settled in the Tampa area of Florida. Each passed away and is buried in the Tampa area as well.
I believe my grandfather Fred was born in the southern united states. I know very little about my fellow Purvis family. If memory serves some of Fred's extended family lived in Louisana when he passed away in 1973. My father, Ray Marvin Purvis is currently in the Tampa area of Florida as well. We are not, nor have been in many years, on any kind of communicating terms.
