I am looking for information on the Purvis (Pervis) family that lived in the area of Jersey City, NJ - 1850 - 1940. They had a daughter named Helen Rebecca Purvis (Pervis) born about 1876 - 1879. Helen was a full blooded American Indian. I would like to know who Helen's parents and siblings were. I understand there is no surviving 1880 census for Jersey City. If anyone has access to the 1885 census, please let me know if this family is shown. I would appreciate any information on this family.
