Seeking info on George M Pursley (possibly b. ca 1865 Morris, Grundy Co, IL) who m. Alpha May Cherpitel in Rice Co, Kansas. They had a child b. 1904 when May died in childbirth or shortly after.
Oran A Pursley, brother to George M Pursley, d. on 23 Aug 1902 when he and Henry Louis Shumway drowned in a flash flood west of Lyons, Rice Co, KS.
George M Pursley then married Emma (Caldwell) Shumway, widow of Henry Louis Shumway, sometime after 1904 in Rice Co, KS. Emma d. 18 Oct 1911 Lyons, KS and is buried in the Shumway Cemetery where Henry Louis Shumway and Oran A Pursley are also buried. Alpha May Cherpitel Pursley is buried in Graceland/Lyons Municipal cemetery.
Does anyone have connections or any further info on these two Pursley brothers in Rice Co, Kansas?? Will share info.
