DC, thank you very much. Susan Reveal is my 4th cousin, once removed, (she is a generation younger than I). Susan has indeed, spent much time and effort working on our Purser/Pusser genealogy. Our line splits off early from the "main stem", as we seem to be descended from the Moses Purser, b. 1725. The name "Moses" is rare in the Purser/Pusser lines, but is used again for a grandson of this Moses. This grandson was a son of John Purser, 1750/52- between 1824(will written), and 1826, (will probated). This John Purser settled in Mecklenberg County, NC, in Goose Creek Township. Another son of John Purser was David Purser, 1797-1832, who had but four children, all boys, all named "Pusser". This is the line of Susan and myself. She comes from John Pusser,(her ggg-grandfather) born 1818, moved from NC to GA with his family and two brothers. One brother, Hugh Pusser,(my gg-grandfather), remained in NC.
