Your grandfather, Carl Daniel Purser, and Tammy's great-grandfather, Alford Carl Purser, were first cousins, twice removed. Carl Daniel was the son of Henry Joshau Purser who moved from NC to GA and married Johnnie Florence Donaldson. He served in the Spanish-American War, later settled in Wheeler County, GA.His son , Carl Daniel, went to FL about 1919 and later made quite a name for himself in the early days of stock car racing. Henry J. was the son of Milas Deberry Pusser/Purser, (1/30/1846-2/1/1938) and Margaret Philadelphia "Delphia" Mullis,(7/11/1848-7/25/1931). Milas D. was the son of Hugh Pusser, (1825-1864 CW), and Mary Frances Austin, (11/15/1829-8/19/1898). Hugh Pusser and Prior Green Pusser were brothers.
