Dwight Ingram and John F. Purser

Looking for information on lineage of Dr. Dwight Ingram Purser, 1841, Copiah County, MS, died 10/22/1897 of Yellow Fever in New Orleans, LA. He was one of the first pastors of the Valence Street Baptist Church in New Orleans. His brother, Dr. John F. Purser, born 1856, was the pastor of The First Baptist church in that city. The 1880 census of Clinton, Hinds, MS shows John F. in the household of J. P. Hemley, who seems to be a teacher operating a boarding school, as the other menbers of that household all have different surnames, and are shown as "student". The 1880 census shows that John F. Purser's father was born in SC and his mother in NC. Dr. Dwight's obituary has his mother and two sisters living in New Orleans.
