Elizabeth Bentley Purser did move to TX sometime after 1870,along with at least 5 of her children. Elizabeth is listed on the 1880 census for Lee County, TX as living with her daughter, Francis Hodge. She is buried at Lexington, Lee County, TX. Also on the 1880 census for Lee County, TX are her sons; R.T.(Richard Thomas), J.M.(James Monroe), Moses Jeff, Henry F., and their families.
Richard Thomas is also buried at Lexington,Lee,TX. James Monroe was living in Non (Nan?),Hughes County, OK in 1909 and is probably buried there. Moses Jefferson was living near Big Spring,Howard County, TX in 1909 and is probably buried there.Henry Floyd, my g-grandfather, is buried at Trent, Taylor County, TX.
James Monroe's son, John was 11 years on this census. Hope this helps
