Kent, Here is all I have on Hugh Pusser-Purser==== Hugh Pusser was born circa 1825. He was a farmer who resided in Union County, North Carolina. Hugh married Mary Frances Austin, who was born November 15, 1829. Mary Frances was the daughter of DeBerry and Milly (Hagler) Austin. Hugh and Mary Frances had ten children. On October 8, 1863 Hugh enlisted as a Private in Company H of the 14th North Carolina Infantry Regiment in the Confederate States Army. He was killed during the War Between the States at the Battle of Spotsylvania Court House in Virginia on May 8th, 1864 and was buried on the battlefield in an unmarked grave. Mary Frances later married Calvin Mullis. Subsequently, three of Calvin's sons married three of Hugh and Mary Frances' daughters. Henry Joshua Purser, one of Hugh's grandsons, was born March 19, 1876 and also moved to Pulaski (the part which is now Bleckley) County, Georgia, coming from Monroe, North Carolina in the early 1890's. Henry married Johnnie Florence Donaldson, who was the daughter of Jessie C. Donaldson, on November 5, 1895. Johnnie was born May 16, 1874 and died March 19, 1955. Henry served in the Spanish American War with other troops from Pulaski County. In the year 1900, he moved his family to a farm in Wheeler County, about seven miles east of Lumber City. He died there on April 19, 1933. Henry J. and Johnnie are buried in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery in Wheeler County, Georgia.
