Iam Aubrey George Purser Ilive in BEDFORD and have traced my line back to 1500.
These ara extracts from letters i rieceved about 20 years ago.
(1) A Purser from Gloucester learned the art of brewing porter in London then took his skills to Dublin and founded A brewery with Benjamin Guinnes, PURSERS were directors of Guinnes all through the 19th century one of these was SARAH PURSER who revived the art of making stained glass.Her tuesday soirees were the assembly of literary and artistic notabilities,she lived to the age of 96.

(2)My father had frequent contact with a Miss Purser in Dublin who was secretary to SIR WILLIAM CHARLES PURSER-GUINNES.
