I'm descended from a Richard Purser, b. about 1802 in North Carolina. He was living in Henry County, GA by 1830. Below is the census for him and his first wife and their children:

1830 Henry County, GA Census
p211,
Richard Purser
Males              Females
Under 5 = 1        Under 5 = 2
5 to 10 = 0        5 to 10 = 0
10 to 15 = 0        10 to 15 = 0
15 to 20 = 0        15 to 20 = 0
20 to 30 = 1       20 to 30 = 1
This census is of Richard and his first wife who was born according to this census sometime between 1800 and 1810. I'm told by older members of Richard's descendants that his first wife's name was "Catherine".
