Gerri, hello "cousin", your Richard Purser, (1802-1850), is of my line, which is Robert Purser, (abt 1673 in VA-abt 1733 in NC)> Moses Purser,(abt 1725)> John Purser, (abt 1750- 1826, h/o Susannah Cuthbertson). One of their seven children was Moses Purser(1785-1864, h/o Massey Arnet "White", a Cherokee lady, whose sister was Morning/Mourning Dove "White"). Moses and Massey were married in 1816.Another son was David Purser,(abt 1797-abt 1832), he is my 3XG-grandfather, and the first h/o Anna Mullis. One of their four sons was my 2XG-grandfather, Hugh Purser/Pusser, (1825-1864, killed in CW), he was the first h/o Mary Frances Austin. What makes it really confusing is that Mosesand David, sons of John, are shown as having a brother named Richard, abt 1802, NC, married an Elizabeth, b.abt 1809 in GA. If I follow you correctly, then your Richard was a brother to David Cullen Purser, an account of those times has David's brother being murdered, so I never considered him, thank you for this information, would really like to recieve what you have on your line, and swap information. Please email me.
