Eadie was the daughter of Moses Purser, (1785 NC- abt 1862-3 AL), and Massy Arnet "White", (1781 NC-abt 1870 AL).Moses and Massy are buried at New Hope Baptist Church, Marion County, AL. Moses and Massy were married 2/15/1816 in Wilson Cnty, TN. Moses is a vetern of the War of 1812, and is the son of John Purser, (1750NC-1826NC), and Susannah Cuthbertson, D/O? David Cuthbertson and Rachel Brewer,( don't quote this). Massy was a full-blooded Cherokee and sister of Morning/Mourning Dove "White" ,who is an ancestor of Elvis Presley. The "White" was a term used by the Revolutionists to designate indian tribes or families who were friendly to them, "Red" designated hostile ones. I have ancestors further back than John, if you want them, just send me an email at
