Hi Sandi--No connection that I can make at this point. I believe my great-grandfather to be George Purser born about 1848 at Cotton End. I've copied a lot of Purser information from census and parish records and made some conjectures, so maybe you can tell me if this makes sense: There was a William Purser born in Willington about 1860, son of John Purser (b. about 1822) and Lavinia Keep (b. about 1838). William had siblings Martha, Walter, Isabella, Frederick, Elizabeth, Arthur and Thomas. John and Lavinia were married November 9, 1858 at Wootton. I think John was first married to Mary Ann Yoxen (b. 1821) in 1842. Children from the first marriage were Charles, Josiah, Ellen, Hannah, Harriet, Catherine and possibly James. I know Cotton End and Willington are not that far apart but so far I can't connect these two Purser families. Let me know if you can verify any of the above.
