Jack, your great-grandmother was the daughter of Charles Mullis,(11/17/1813, died 9/9/1887 in Pulaski Co.GA). Charity was the child of Charles and his first wife, Cynthia Miller, whom he married on 11/30/1837. Both Charles and Cynthia are buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Bleckley Co, GA. Charles was the son of another Charles Mullis,(abt. 1787), and Rebecca Caudle, daughter of Absalom Caudle and Elizabeth Maness. Charity Elizabeth Mullis married Richard Steelus Purser on 3/17/1872 in Pulaski Co, GA. As you already know, they had one child, a daughter. Charity and Richard divorced, Richard afterwards married Martha Ann Davis and had a family with her. Charity also remarried and had a family.
