My mother's maiden name is Janie Marcina Purser. She was born in Marshville, NC. I remember living with my grandparents in Marshville as a child. My grandparents had a large farm in a rural area. Grandfather's name was Cull Purser, grandmother's name was Ida Purser.

I had Purser aunts and uncles all over NC but have not had any contact with my family for approx. 30 years. I went to my grandfather's funeral in 1970-71. He was buried in Union County. I lost contact with all of the family then.

I'm 56 years old, married for 30 years and have grandchildren of my own. I would like to complete the Purser side of my family tree for my children and grandchildren. I'm a novice at this and would appriciate any help you might be able to provide.

I understand, from your posting, that Mr Green might know many of the Pursers in that area at that time. If you can asked him about any of my family I would be forever greatful.

Thanks!
