I forgot to add that Jacob Purkeypile was also a plaintiff in Jane Purkeypile's lawsuit. This is what links Jacob to Jane and Andrew and the other sisters who are also listed as plaintiifs. Jane died in 1849, so she wasn't alive when the case was finally heard by the Ohio Supreme Court. The family won the case, by the way. In other words, Jane Purkeypile listed all of her children as co-plaintifs in her suit, as they would be beneficiaries of the money owed to the family.
