Jim Purkey and Dicie Wilburn had five children:

John Jess
Sumerfield
Nervesta
Jack
Silis

John Jess married Nancy Jane Roberts, and they had four children:

Bedford (Married Mattie Collins)
Taylor (Married Lula Brewer)
Mary (Married Andy Stublefield)
Sarah (Married John H. Lamb)
