Hi Alec,
I was just checking my response to your first reply when I noticed your second reply.I see that you reached one of the same conclusions that I did.
This family has been a nightmare to sort out.A few years ago I had worked extensively with another cousin on this, looking at every original record we could find.Recently discovered headstone transcriptions have made us take another look at the family. And we are still as confused as ever. Our possible scenarios include:
Peter 1 Brown (1610-1658) and Elizabeth
Peter 2 Brown (1650/55-1716?) and Rebecca Disbrow
Peter 3 Brown (1685/90-1732/3) and Martha Butler
Peter 4 Brown (aft 1711-aft 1764) and Unknown
Peter 1 Brown (1610-1658) and Elizabeth
Hackaliah 2 Brown (1645-1720) and Mary Hoyt
Peter 3 Brown (1685/90-1732/3) and Martha Butler
Peter 4 Brown (aft 1711-aft 1764) and Unknown
--with Peter Brown (bef 1662-1716?) and Rebecca Disbrow being a brother of Hackaliah
But it's all conjecture.
Karen
