Here is a family that hast to be very close:
Caleb 6 Purdy (Joseph 2, Samuel 3, Caleb 4, Caleb 5) born 1774 married Mary Reynolds. After he died she remarried to Stephen Waring.
Caleb and Mary had only one child that we know of, Mary 7 Purdy born 1794 and she married Amos T. Mead (2 June 1792 - 11 Oct 1865) as his second wife. His first wife is said to be Ann Purdy (placement unknown) (6 Nov 1794 - 27 Apr 1873 married 9 Nov 1816). However the first child attributed to Amos and Mary was dau Elkanah Mead born 1818 so I wonder about the existence of a first wife... perhaps Mary was Mary Ann?
Anyway, other children of Amos and Mary were:
Catherine 1819,
Stephen Waring 1821,
Elisha Belcher 1823,
Sarah Purdy 1825,
Mary Eveline 1828,
Edgar 1830,
Mary Purdy 1831/32. All surnamed Mead of course.

To me, this sure begs the question whether Mary 7 Purdy had a sister Sarah born in 1796, as the naming traditions and dates are way too close for this to be an accident.

Caleb 5 Purdy (1743) married Ruth Peck. Elias 6 Purdy brother of Caleb 6 married Clara Peck. They had a sister Sarah 6 Purdy (aunt of Mary 7 above) born 1776 who married Nehemiah Brown (no further info on Nehemiah and Sarah). The Peck and Reynolds families are Greenwich CT based.
