Our Francis Purdy (died 1658) genealogy shows Herbert Lincoln 8 Purdy born 1870 married May W. Wollinger. The spelling of Mae / May is probably derived from a secondary source; the contributor likely didn't know the correct spelling.
Herbert was son of Henry Albert 7 Purdy and Sarah Sophia 8 Potter of Clements, Anapolis County, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Henry Albert's ancestry is James Russell 6, Anthony 5, Gabriel 4 (Loyalist in Revolution, from Croton, NY settled at Clements, N.S.), Samuel 3, Joseph 2 (born Fairfield CT died Rye, NY), Francis 1 Purdy born England possibly Suffolk or Norfolk, died Fairfield CT 1658.
During the mid to late 1800's many people migrated from Nova Scotia and New Brunswick to Maine and Massachusetts.
I don't know the names of May/Mae's parents.
Would like to know the names of children of Herbert and Mae.
