Seeking any info on John Purdom II (son of John and Darius/Dorcas Purdom), b. c1755 or earlier; d. before 1800, Surry Co., NC; m. Mary Elvira "Polly" McKinney. Children:
1). Elisha Purdom, b. c1775; m. Nancy Hopkins and Caty Shepherd Baugh.
2). William Purdom, b. c1775, Stokes Co., NC; d. c1840, KY; m. 21 Nov. 1795, Surry Co., NC, Mary McBride.
3). Thomas Purdom, b. 1784; m. 15 Jan. 1809, Surry Co., NC, Elizabeth Aldridge.
4). Henry Purdom, m. 30 Aug. 1808, Surry Co., NC, Aggy Andrews.
5). Marcus "Mark" Purdom, b. 14 May 1793, Stokes Co., NC; d. 22 April 1871, Boyle Co., KY; m. Polly Saters and Elizabeth R. Crews.
6). Polly Purdom, m. 8 March 1804, Joseph Saer (Sater?).
7). John Purdom, m. 3 Feb. 1792, Rutherford Co., NC, Susanna Graham.
John Purdom possibly lived in Wake Co., NC before settling in Stokes Co., NC, where he was listed in the 1790 census; his widow was listed in Stokes Co. in the 1800 census.
I'd love to hear from anyone who recognizes these Purdoms.
