Purceys of Michigan and their English roots

John and Hariet had three sons John, Edward and James around 1800.

John's son John Purcey, his wife Harriet (née Jelley) and their children went to Michigan around 1870 from Surrey, England (now part of Greater London). There are many descendants of this couple in Michigan and other places today.

Edward and James had settled in Australia and Canada a few years earlier. Each of the brothers have many descendants today in Australia and Canada.

I have a lot of information on the family which I am happy to share. I have a short webpage which contains more infomation. I update the webpage as more information becomes available.
