Yes, this is my Elijah and Eliza.
I am not sure what military file you are talking about but I feel that it something other than what I have.
I only have information that I got from the Michigan War 1865 site. It is <Michwar1865@aol.com>
This is the information that was returned to me:
Cuthbert, Elijah M. enlisted in the 1st Cavalry, Company E on August 29, 1864 at Madison, Michigan for 1 years service at age 40. he was admitted to Harper Hospital on November 22, 1864. He was discharged for disability on May 18, 1865 at Detroit, Michigan.
I, also, have the following information:
Elijah and Eliza were living in Dundee, Monroe Co. Michigan in the 1860 Federal Census. He was born in VT and died in Newton, Harvey Co. KS in 1875.
Elizabeth Punches Cuthbert was on an 1883 Harvey Co. KS List of Pensioners as a wido, #180,418.
