Dear Morgan,
I was looking at Genforum and Pumphrey family. My grandfather was William Pumphrey, born in St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., MO. His grandfather, Elijah H. Pumphrey was buried in Platte Co., MO. Elijah had a large family and William J. Pumphrey was the oldest. William had six children: Edwin E. Pumphrey born in Platte Co., MO, 05 Feb 1854; Galen B. Pumphrey, Born (?); Frank Pumphrey, born (?). Edwin E. married Eva Gabbert, Dec. 28 1887 in Dearborn, Platte Co., MO. Your items sound as though they were in that family. I don't have much on this part of the family except William J. Pumphrey (father) was buried at Camden Point, Platte Co., MO in 1865. If you would like to post further information I would be happy to see it. Virginia Alban
