Line starting w/James Brooks Pulliam
I am from a branch of the Pulliam family whose roots go back to Person NC with James Brooks Pulliam who was born January 1, 1821 and died Auguest 22, 1897.
He sired Jordan Pulliam, who died in the Civil War, William Pulliam, Susan Pulliam, and Martha Pulliam who married Henry Bray and lived at Bethel NC.
James B. Pulliam was married three times according to Person County courthouse records.
1. Amelia Pugh -- had 2 children -- Harriet and Charlie Henry (who died young)
2. Narcissus J. Long -- married Dec. 17, 1852 -- had 1 child (to my knowldege) - W. Chess Pulliam.
3. Annie Eliza Long- married Dec. 30, 1855 (died in 1879) -- had 8 children!!!

4. Ben Pulliam (Benjamin Franklin, my grandfather)

My grandafther, Benjamin F. Pulliam, was born March 7, 1864 and died July 17, 1928.He married twice.
1. Maggie Clark (who died in 1901).Had 5 children -- Eugene, Zelma, Ina, Raymond and Edwin.
2. Mollie Etta Jackson Smith, born July 30, 187_ and died June 6, 1969 (I should know birth year but my notes are indecipherable).
They had 9 children:

Clyde Clifton, June 15, 1918 (died in infancy)
LeRoy Pulliam, June 11, 1923.
LeRoy Pulliam is my father.He married Barbara Rook Dec. 24, 1947.
Of his brothers and sisters, John and Fannie are the only ones who remain living.
