Wow!! I can't believe I just discovered this forum. I'm not totally into this genealogy thing yet, I guess you could call me a dabbler... but my Puleo grandparents lived in Providence all their lives. There are still a lot of Puleos in Providence, but to me, my only surviving relatives are my father, brother, sister, and a married aunt. I know my father has cousins and uncles, but I don't know any of them well. Interested in hearing from any Providence area Puleos. Let's see what I can remember... my grandparents were Rosario Puleo and Catherine (Melone) Puleo. His parents were Bartolo and Carmela (Sorrentino) Puleo, both from Sicily. I have a copy of a death certificate for Carmela, and I also think I found her on that new Ellis Island site! O well. I'll stop now, I've not read any of the posts yet, I was just so thrilled to find this that I had to post myself right away.
