Hi Patricia,
I have been researching Samuel Pugh for many years and made some progress recently using DNA testing. Samuel was born about 1740 in Richmond County, Virginia and he did indeed marry a Susannah but her last name was not Chamberlain. We do not know what her maiden name was. Samuel and Susannah had a daughter named Mary Pugh who was born in 1766. Mary married a Jesse Chamberlin in Loudoun County, Virginia and they had a daughter Susannah Chamberlin. That is where the error in the name occurred.
