Hi, my name is Lajuan (Pruett) Boyle. I find it interesting that Monroe Puett (son of Elisha Puett and Paulina Noel) and his wife-Mary E. gave the land for the King Baptist church and cemetery in Coryell Co Tx. and that later, my greatgrandfather bought the adjoing land (James Henry Pruett) There is an old story in my family that years ago, two Pruett brothers had a falling out and that one of the brothers changed his last name or at least changed the spelling of his last name. I have seen the above Elisha's last name spelled Pruett (of course as a very carefull researcher, I discount the way a name is spelled, since often the name is spelled by a tax collector, census taker or a court recorder-in a manner in which that person thought it should be spelled). I just think there is a connection between Monroe Puett and my James Henry Pruett (son of Samuel Pruett). Anywone have in ideas. Thanks, Lajuan Pruett Boyle
