I believe that Leslie Pruitt was born in Alabama, most likely in or near Lanett in Chambers County as his brother William Leonard Pruitt was born there 1914. Leslie Pruitt should be around 1 year old in the 1910 census as he is 11 in the 1920 census. In 1920 he appears in Bosque County, TX with the family that took the two boys in, but since he went there after the death of his mother, he would have to still be living in Alabama or Georgia in 1910. I have searched both and can't find him, but I may be doing something wrong or the system I am using may not be the most efficient. I do not want to pay for a birth certificate and I am looking to find the approx. 1 year old Leslie Pruitt to find out the names of my great-grandparents. William Leonard Pruitt, Leslie's brother, is my grandfather.
