Well, where to start, I am decendant of 'Grace' Geske Janette Pruin sister to George (was her favorite brother and named a son after him). I am not sure where you got they settled in Ackley (George could have been working there at the time)? The family from my research was in 1900 US census in Butler, Calhoun co, Iowa.Grace was confirmed in the Luthern church in Pomaroy, Calhoun co, Iowa, in the 1890's (can't lay my hand on the paper right now). I could go on and on. But the family can be trace in Calhoun and Pocahonta counties.
The Pruin ancestry is in Ostfriesland in Germany. The area is currently known as Niedersachsen. I am in the process of trying to get someone to research the Holtzgrave side of the family.
Depending on who's census you look at they came over in 1884 or 1886.
