Thank you for the information. I am working on a book based on my own travel along the Saskatchewan Watershed in a wooden kayak. As well, I will be writing a creative non-fiction account of what it would have been like when John Peter travelled on the river during his time. It should be useful to go to the celebration. I began my trip at the Saskatchewan Crossing (Rocky Mountains) and have paddled all the way to Grand Rapids, located at the north end of Lake Winnipeg. I will end the trip at Hudson Bay probably next year. Couldn't do the trip all at once, as JPP would have, don't have enough holiday time.
